How can I clean the mesh part of my Nike athletic shoes?

My son wrote on the mesh part of my Nike tennis shoes. I cleaned them with a mild soap right away and the markings came out but the part of the shoes that got wet also turned yellow. How can I get them back to white?

The shoes are part leather and part mesh…bleach won’t do on these and shoes polish will not work.

You can use ethanol wash your nike shoes!
