Can you get a stress fracture in your foot from wearing dress shoes that are too small?

I’m in forensics and I only have one pair of dress shoes and they are too small – long story. Haha But, I have to walk around a lot (basically all day) and I’m not allowed to not wear them… Could that cause a stress fracture?
I geuss my question is: what can i do about it until I can buy new shoes?

Go to the Salvation Army or Goodwill or somewhere like that and get a pair of shoes that fit you.
