How do I ensure a good fit in men’s shoes?
November 22nd, 2009 | by admin |I found some slip on dres shoes from Florshiem but I they have just the slightest slip in the heel. I still can’t just slip right out but it does have a tiny bit of movement. I am worried they will stretch out and become to much of a slip effect. So is it better to get the tighter half size smaller, which would be a bit tighter in the toes, and "break them in"?
Leather shoes will stretch over time.
There is such a thing as a heel pad (you can get at a shoe maker or shoe store) that adheres to the back of the heel inside the shoe to make it tighter. So if it stretches too much and your foot seems to slip out too easy (like when walking) that will tighten it up.
??? When you walk in the shoe that is 1/2 size smaller do your feet (toes) hurt or hit the end of the shoe???? If they do ~ buy the next 1/2 size larger regardless of the heel problems.
And are you wearing medium thick socks? That will make a difference too.
