I am looking for a new pair of athletic shoes. I do a lot of walking and biking. I run on occasion, but not regularly. I currently have a pair of cross trainers. I was wondering if there is a different kind of shoes I should use. I do not participate in school sports, so this is more for personal recreation and exercise.

I have flat feet and I pronate, and I do have orthodics. About a year ago I got a form of tendinitis in one foot, and now I am getting pain in my right ankle and the area around it. I know that I used to roll really badly in dance, and I still do some but it has gotten better. Also, I have problems rolling through my feet when jumping. Are there any shoes (not dance shoes) that would help with the pronation and that might help avoid the pain?

I ask because my dog chewed up my gf’s heels and now she wants me to replace them. She bought them at Target but I just feel like a fool going in there and buying them myself. Will I look like a psycho or something in the store?
No, my dad buys shoes for my mom all the time. Nobody will think anything of it, but if you are that worried, just bury them under a shirt in the cart.
I have nice pumps, some with flat wooden soles (like men’s dress shoes). Can I wear them outside. How far should I walk outside. I see men wearing dress shoes outside on the sidewalk. The thing in I feel comfortable in dress shoes. I can walk 10 miles a day in them but the shoes themselves can’t withstand that kind of abuse. I pretty much walk everywhere. Everyone else’s shoes seem to last longer than mine. How much should I walk in order not to ruin my shoes?

Is there a day that they put out the most men’s shoes. Specifically athletic shoes.
You should ask the people that work there, though my guess is that they just put stuff out as they get it, so you should check back every week or something.
Since styles of women’s shoes vary so much, are there any changes to the current styles that you would make if you could?
