thanks for supporting this song-this song means alot to me- my Mom-was very ill last Christmas and we thought we where going to loose her then-but we lost her Feb of this year,my Diaghter bought Mom some nice red slippers for Christmas- and Dad said she had them on at her Funeral- so this song means a great deal to me

I’m not laughing at …
I’m not laughing at the fact that the mother is dying (and also, calm down, she isn’t real), I’m laughing at the fact that this song and the movie it’s based off of claims to proclaim what Christmas is all about, which apparently is to spend loads of money.
Instead of spending as much time with his mother as possible he wastes his time tracking down and buying a pair of shoes that she’ll only ever be able to wear once, and that’s probably when they’re lowering her into the ground.
